File Access and Anomali Detection
FolSec File Audit & Anomaly Detection monitors, records, and analyzes user and file activities on file servers in real time. It provides detailed answers to the question, “Who accessed which file, when, and what action did they perform?” while enabling rapid response to potential security threats.
File Access & Activity Monitoring
File and folder activities such as open, read, create, modify, delete, rename, and move are recorded with user, date/time, file path, and operation details. Historical investigations and reports can be generated based on users, files, and folders.
Anomalous Behavior Detection
Unusual activities involving large numbers of files within a short period are automatically detected. For example, an alert can be triggered when a user deletes or modifies 100 files within one minute.
Ransomware Detection
FolSec analyzes intensive read, modify, delete, and file creation activities to identify potential ransomware behavior. High-frequency file operations and abnormal activity patterns can be detected at an early stage, allowing security teams to respond quickly.
Folder-Based Alert Rules
Custom security thresholds can be defined for critical folders. For example, a rule such as “Generate an alert if more than 10 files are deleted within 5 minutes” can be configured to closely monitor sensitive data locations.
Automated Response
When predefined thresholds are exceeded, FolSec can automatically take action according to configured security policies. Actions may include disabling the user account, blocking access to file shares, logging the incident, and sending email or security alerts.
FolSec combines traditional file auditing with real-time anomaly detection, ransomware behavior analysis, and automated response, providing an integrated security and monitoring layer for enterprise file servers.
